Salesforce Monthly Updates for February 2023 by saasguru

This comprehensive roundup of the February month deals with the top news and talking points of the Salesforce world. If you haven’t already, now is the time to explore these new features and see how they can help your organization streamline its operations and drive growth.

Also, ensure that you don’t miss out on any updates from January month. Keeping up with the latest news of the Salesforce ecosystem will help you keep your knowledge updated. And if you are preparing for the Salesforce certifications, monthly updates will also help you ace the recruitment process.

1. Salesforce kicked off February by announcing it was named as a leader by Gartner Inc. in its 2023 Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Low-Code Application Platforms. The CRM enterprise giant, in its report, mentioned multiple industries and customers adopted low-code or no-code technologies designed on the Salesforce Platform to drive development and automation solutions.

The achievement is a milestone for Salesforce because Gartner® predicts that by 2025, the majority of new applications created by enterprises will employ low-code or no-code technologies, a significant increase from the percentage in 2020.

Amid an unstable economic climate, companies are striving to achieve more with fewer resources. With Salesforce Platform’s array of low-code development and automation solutions, businesses can decrease expenses and enhance worker efficiency. These tools enable IT and business executives to increase productivity through automation, develop intelligent apps on a large scale, and tailor each customer interaction by accessing real-time data in a secure and compliant manner.

2. On February 8, Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff announced the launch of Salesforce EinsteinGPT via Twitter. Benioff’s cryptic tweet hinted that writing reports “with jokes included” is more than a buzzword at this stage. More details of the advanced tool, which we assume is an integration between Salesforce and OpenAI’s GPT model, will be announced at TrailblazerDX 23 on March 7.

The collaboration between Salesforce and OpenAI’s GPT language model has led to the creation of EinsteinGPT, marking a notable achievement in AI technology and the advancement of conversational AI solutions such as ChatGPT. OpenAI’s GPT model has undergone extensive training using a vast amount of data, enabling it to generate prose that resembles human writing. Consequently, EinsteinGPT is an effective tool for businesses seeking to enhance their sales processes.

3. Salesforce incorporated two fresh fields for gender identity and pronoun data throughout its product line on February 14. By introducing these opt-in enhancement features, the business software company enables clients to portray transgender and nonbinary individuals more accurately and enhances the precision of gender-related data.

Through the standardization of these fields, administrators will no longer need to generate customized fields for their organizations. As a result, they can collect more precise customer data and provide a faster time-to-value.

Salesforce’s recent introduction of gender-inclusive features will offer companies greater flexibility in determining whether, when, and how to utilize this data. Given that not all organizations require or prefer to gather comprehensive gender-related information, this update will provide more options. Salesforce is dedicated to safeguarding individuals against discrimination, marginalization, and inadvertent disclosures.

4. During the GreenBiz 23 event, Salesforce disclosed its purchase of 280,000-megawatt hours worth of renewable energy certificates from small-scale, decentralized energy projects. In a statement, the company announced that the procurement would back initiatives for the next eight years, aimed at expediting access to clean electricity in developing markets.

Salesforce has partnered with Powertrust, a firm that collects high-impact renewable resources globally. To facilitate the implementation of small-scale, decentralized renewable projects, Salesforce will utilize Distributed Renewable Energy Certificates (D-RECs), a creative financial mechanism that enables organizations to expedite capital deployment. As a result, Salesforce will promote this novel clean energy supply.

5. To commemorate Black History Month, Salesforce revealed that it would provide unrestricted grants to 10 non-profit organizations led by Black leaders. These latest beneficiaries will employ the Salesforce Catalyst Fund to promote racial equity through education and economic prospects in the United States.

What’s the shocking reality?

In the United States, Black and Latinx non-profit leaders receive a meager 4% of philanthropic financing, despite constituting roughly 10% of non-profit leadership across the nation. Moreover, unrestricted funding disparities are even more pronounced.

6. On February 23, Salesforce announced innovations built for the Communications industry. As per a company report, the latest updates feature Analytics, AI, and pre-built Solutions that will help enhance customer experiences and reduce operational costs. In addition, a new integration with WhatsApp will streamline and enrich customer engagement, the report stated.

What’s the significance?

Over 50% of customers currently favor conducting business “exclusively or mostly online,” and 72% have stated that they will stay loyal to businesses that offer speedier service, even as they reassess their expenditures. Additionally, 91% of service provider workers assert that digital transformation would eliminate bottlenecks and superfluous procedures that impede service while also saving their companies money.

Summing Up

In conclusion, the February updates for Salesforce have brought significant improvements and enhancements to the platform. It’s evident that Salesforce is committed to constantly improving and evolving its platform to meet the changing needs of businesses and users.
